The Way We Were is a local history project which details what life was like in the Clontubrid area in our grandparents’ time.
We gathered the information and photos from the old people in the area. The project is divided into nineteen chapters. You can see the project for yourself by clicking on the links to the chapters below. We hope you enjoy it.
Quite a few of the people who helped us with the project and whose names are included in the Sources and Acknowledgements chapters have since died.
We hope that this project might contribute in some small way to preserving their memory and their memories.
