Happy St. Brigid’s Day! To celebrate the start of spring, the Middle and Senior Room children made St. Brigid’s crosses. Thanks to Mr. Fitzgerald who sourced the rushes! Well done all!

Farewell and Thankyou to Michael!
Today, we wished our caretaker Michael every good wish and success as he commenced his retirement. Michael has worked hard to keep our school in excellent condition for nearly 23 years. He has been a wonderful friend to both staff and students and we will miss him dearly. Many thanks Michael, wishing you good health and good fortune!

Spontaneous Art in the Playground!
The fallen leaves are truly beautiful at the moment. A spontaneous piece of art has appeared on the school fence over the past 2 days. Well done to all who created this lovely vision.

TeamHope Shoebox Appeal
Many thanks to all of our students and families who donated so generously to the annual TeamHope Shoebox Appeal. These generous gifts will bring great joy and happiness to children and families who are less fortunate than us.

This week we did a STEM challenge in our Junior Room. Each team was given cubes and lollipop sticks to build a tower. The only guidance given was that the cubes could not be touching each other in the finished product. The students really used their thinking and problem-solving skills in this challenge. Look at how great the towers turned out!

Our Middle Room has been busy working on Mathletics recently. What a fun way to explore learning in maths and how great it is to have one laptop for each student in the class!

6 Brand New HP Probook X360 devices have just been delivered to Scoil Naomh Fiachra. With the arrival of this equipment, there is now a laptop/tablet available for each individual child to use in the school. We cannot wait to explore new ways of learning using this equipment.

Our Middle Room had great fun recently as they explored Animals and Habitats in science. They even made their own examples of habitats!

Our Senior Room had great fun recently as they made models of the Heart. The model shows how the heart pumps blood around the body. Arteries carry blood away from the heart and veins carry blood back to the heart from the rest of the body.
