Lisdowney School’s Camogie Team 2017
Congratulations to our school camogie team who won the Roinn D County Final on Wednesday 07th June. The girls had a fantastic win over Bennettsbridge in Nowlan Park on Wednesday evening. Thanks to the coaches Ms. Brennan and Ms. Fennelly for a great year. Well done girls!
Scoil Naomh Fiachra V’s St. Pius X BNS (Dublin)
On Tuesday 14th of June, we played Mr. Robinson’s old school from Terenure in Dublin. It ended in a draw. This was a brilliant game and the standard of hurling on display was extremely high. We presented St. Pius with a legends jersey and brought them back to our school for a party and a game of dodgeball. We hope to return the favour next year and visit St. Pius X for a rematch. Thanks to all our parents who made and served the food for the party afterwards. Thanks to all the St. Pius boys and their teachers Mr. Dillon and Mr. Glynn for coming all the way down and for bringing the treats of course. We wish St. Pius the very best of luck in their final next Tuesday in Croke Park!
Sports Day 2016
We had our sports day on Thursday 8th of June. We had a full day of activities. We had relay activities in the morning and class races in the afternoon. Everyone was treated to an ice cream afterwards to help cool down. A great day was had by all. Thanks to all of the teachers, especially Ms. Fennelly for running a great Sports Day as part of our Active Week.
G.A.A.
Third and fourth class had great fun learning new G.A.A. skills with coach Brían Ryan in March. Third and fourth class will complete a few more sessions of G.A.A. with Brían before the summer holidays.
