STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our newly formed Student Council met recently and are already hard at work planning events and fundraising activities for the weeks and months ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below are some of the initiatives they have organised for the coming weeks in the lead-up to Christmas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Christmas Jumper Day Fundraiser \u2013 10th December 2025: All children are invited to wear Christmas jumpers or festive colours and are asked to donate \u20ac2 on the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Christmas Shopping Basket Raffle: Similar to the Shopping Trolley Draw organised by our Parents’ Council, all students are encouraged to donate a single treat for the Student Council’s Christmas Basket Raffle. These treats will be assembled into small hampers, which will be raffled as prizes before the Christmas break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Christmas Colouring Competition: All children will be invited to take part in a Scoil Naomh Fiachra Christmas Colouring Competition. There will be prizes on offer for all age groups in the school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many thanks to our Student Council and indeed all students for their hard work and support of the school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role of The Student Council<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Council plays an important role in our school community. Its purpose is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Give pupils a voice and help them to share their ideas, opinions and concerns about school
    life.<\/li>
  • Help make our school an even better place for everyone.<\/li>
  • Act as a link between pupils, staff and parents, ensuring good communication within the
    school community.<\/li>
  • Encourage pupils to take an active part in organising school activities and events.<\/li>
  • Promote respect, kindness and responsibility among all pupils.<\/li>
  • Represent the school in positive way at school events and in the wider community.<\/li>
  • Work together with teachers and school leaders to bring forward realistic suggestions for improvement<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
